Dr. Daisuke Kobayashi
The head scientist at the facility where Liana used to work. He was an inspiration to Liana until she discovered that the reason she became a biologist was to merely follow his lead, not because she had a genuine passion for the field. It made her want to break free from his influence and forge her own path, causing him to become obsessed with her to the point of relying on his alien assistant, Hemorrhage, to trap her and make her his.
However, with the help of her friends and allies, she was able to have Daisuke turn himself in to the authorities and work at a different facility.

story

Liana Torres was born in Colombia and came to New York when she was a teenager. Her parents passed away in an accident when she was in high school, and had to be taken in by her adoptive to complete and head onward to college. She started her career as a biologist. She designed her own suit and managed to defeat criminals as a part-time super heroine, making herself be known as Spider Octopus. Little did she know, her adoptive father disapproved of her choice of using her powers only for the better.
